refflection

It was the first time to make a presentation in front of others, so I was so nervous at first, but now I think I am getting used to it. It is not so easy to speak English and make a presentation simultaneously, but I would like to get my speaking skill better.

Each floor has two computers except fifth. First of all, research the book you want to make a reservation on the computer and print out the details displayed on the screen. Click the book number and then click jyoutai button. Finally be sure to write down your name and ID number before handing it over at the Library counter.

the Big Difference

Our group is going to talk about two topics, which is about differences between cultures and natural-disaster in Japan. First, I’m going to talk about differences between gestures. We use various gestures everyday and some of them have a big difference.
Now I’m going to introduce two examples. First, which gesture do you use when you speak about yourself? I think most of you point at your nose with your forefinger. Non-Japanese would be surprised to see that, because they point at their chest with their thumb instead.
Second I think all of you already know it is thought to be bad to put a middle finger. Surprisingly turning a V-sign has the same meaning as putting a middle finger. It has the same meaning as offending a person in front of you.

Thanksgiving Day

I’m going about the history on Thanksgiving Day in USA. In 1492, many English aimed to get to the new
American continent. However, the Indians weren’t pleased at all to welcome new comers. Most of the English died from disease one after another, because they couldn’t get enough food in the new land. Indians felt very sorry so they taught them how to grow pumpkins, corn, and the like. One harvest season, the English invited Native Americans to dinner to express their gratitude. On the left side is Native Americans, and the right side is the England. That day, they had Turkey, pumpkin, corn, and so on. That’s why the Americans now have pumpkin and corn on the Thanksgiving Day.

I’m going to talk about the Parthenon-Temple.

This is the temple built praying to the guardian in Athens. It is said that it was constructed in honor of the victory in the Persian war. It was all completed in 433B.C.
The width is about 31meters, and the length is about 70 meters, and the height is about 10.5 meters. There are 8 pillars in both the front and the back side. There are 46 pillars around it in all. The inner sanctuary of the temple is surrounded by walls, and inside it is marked off by four rooms.
On the East side across the Parthenon-Temple, there used to be a sculptured group and it related to the birth of the goddess in Athens. However, no longer can it be seen there. This is because they were sent to England by ship in the back of 18th century. But now they are drawing people’s attention in the museum in Engla

Paruque Espana

Let me talk about the history of Paruque Espana.
Paruque Espana was established in1993. Paruque means a park and Espana means Spain in English. Most things there were imported from Spain, and it still keeps high-quality.
However, in 2001, the number of visitors went down to half of that in the opening day. Paruque Espana faced financial difficulty. This was because of the economic recession. Employees worked very hard to improve attractions and events. They have made plainer so that all ages can understand the purpose. In addition, they cut down the managing costs. Finally on July 23rd, 2002, the number of visitors grew to 20,000,000 for the first time.

This is a movie about the woman putting all into work and love.

She works so hard that Miranda gets to value her, but on the contrary her private life is gradually going bad…
Recommendation: In this movie, you can see lots of things on fashion such as clothes, bags, and shoes. Also I think you will sympathize with Andy about difficulty trying hard on work and love at same time.

Girls are saying bad things about each other behind their backs, as a result, something bad thing are going to happen at school..
Recommendation: in this movie there are several mean girls, and what’s more they are typical types of girls who are likely to exist in real world. You can get to know why girls especially adolescents are bulling each other.
